Mr. Igou dedicates his practice to commercial real estate transactions, with an emphasis on development, acquisitions and dispositions, leasing, and finance. In addition, Mr. Igou has considerable experience with general corporate and entity selection/formation, business succession, and estate planning matters.
Mr. Igou has represented a diverse range of clients, from individuals, developers, municipal bodies, investors, property management firms and brokers, to multi-national real estate investment trusts, and lending institutions. He has extensive experience in commercial real estate transactions, including the acquisition and disposition, development, financing, and leasing of retail, office, industrial and multifamily real estate assets. In addition, he has developed an expertise in all aspects of real estate development, from site evaluation, zoning and land use approval, and site plan and subdivision approval, to the use of public incentives (including TIF, CIDs, NIDs, TDDs, tax abatement, and tax credits), financing (including land acquisition and development, construction, and permanent financing), leasing (including office, retail, industrial and ground leases), and condominium developments (both new construction and conversion buildings, residential, commercial, and mixed use).
In addition, Mr. Igou has a great deal of experience with general corporate and business matters, including entity selection, corporate governance, and business succession, as well as mergers and acquisitions (both stock and asset acquisitions).
Mr. Igou received his Juris Doctor, cum laude, from the Creighton University School of Law, where he served as a member of the Board of Editors of the Creighton Law Review. He is a member of the Missouri Bar, the Bar Association of Metropolitan St. Louis, and the Illinois State Bar Association.
