Mr. Klar has developed a comprehensive practice in the areas of general corporate and business law, insurance law, securities and broker-dealer relationships, real estate, financing and estate planning. In his corporate and business practice, Mr. Klar advises clients on the structuring of their business organizations and the drafting of the documentation necessary to achieve the most advantageous tax and financial benefits available. He also has extensive experience in transactions involving mergers and acquisitions of commercial entities, including all aspects of stock and asset purchases and reorganizations, and the financing necessary to accomplish those. In the securities area, Mr. Klar has significant experience in the raising of capital through the private placement of securities and exemptions to registration under federal and state laws.
Mr. Klar’s real estate practice encompasses the sale, purchase and leasing of both commercial and residential real estate. He has significant experience counseling clients in all aspects of real estate transactions, including like-kind exchanges and the myriad issues arising under such exchanges. Mr. Klar’s estate planning practice involves tax planning and the creation of estate planning documents.
Mr. Klar is a graduate of Washington University School of Law where he received his J.D. and was an executive editor of the Washington University Law Quarterly. He is a member of the Bar Association of Metropolitan St. Louis and the Missouri Bar.
