Doug Whitlock

Doug Whitlock has been practicing law since 1999.  He started at a boutique corporate firm in New Hampshire before returning to Missouri in 2011.  He was a shareholder at a mid-sized firm in St. Louis from 2011-2023, running its business transactional group for six years and managing the group during a period of significant growth.  Doug’s firm management experience gave him insight as to the challenges (and rewards) that his clients encounter daily.  Wanting to get back to his boutique corporate firm roots, Doug joined BCB in early 2023.

He has significant experience with all aspects M&A work and with real estate transactions for both buyers and sellers.  Doug’s experience includes deals exceeding $100MM with the bulk of his work ranging $1MM-$50MM for closely held businesses.  As part of his transactional work, Doug assists with capital raises and private equity buy-outs as well as acting as a general business and legal advisor for his clients.  Doug prides himself on responding quickly, providing practical advice, and navigating difficult situations.

Doug received his law degree from the University of New Hampshire (formerly Franklin Pierce Law Center) and his undergraduate degree from Missouri State University (formerly Southwest Missouri State University).
